Glasgow Portrait
Bryan was born in rural West Wales but has lived in Glasgow for over 25 years, so he is proud to be 'Glaswelshian' now. He has spent years roaming the streets of the city recording some of its idiosyncrasies in paint and ink. In his latest prints he attempts a personal portrayal of the city by depicting some of its more peripheral places and people: rainy streets, moody interiors, quirky characters, tenement closes. All the prints use the intaglio processes of etching, aquatint and mezzotint, often all three combined.
