Monoprint
Experimental Monoprinting
The aim of this weekend course is to introduce a wide range of techniques possible in the monotype process through the use of collage, drawing and multiple plate projects.Aimed at the experienced artist and printmaker, participants will be encouraged to pursue their artistic vision using monotype as a markmaking tool, exploring the difference between a monoprint and a monotype and learn how each can be achieved by introducing additional simple techniques. Different marks can be achieved manually or with the use of an etching press and both will be explored over the two days. The tutor approach will be energetic and open, as each student's individual style will dictate the direction of the workshop.
