These are voluntary placements but we are able to offer a limited travel budget for the duration of your internship.

Digital Studio Intern

This placement is ideal for recent arts/design graduates with good computer skills, or for those with relevant experience. Working with key staff members you will gain practical experience in working in GPS' digital printmaking facility.

This internship may include some of the following:

Processing and proofing and printing large format digital fine art prints.
Basic graphic design.
Communicating with a variety service users.
Supporting administration.
Providing general assistance for the running of the printmaker's workshop.

Learning and Engagement Intern

This placement is ideal for a recent arts/teaching graduate with an interest in gallery education. Working with key staff members you will gain practical experience in all aspects of GPS learning programme. *Please note this position will require a Disclosure Scotland check*

This internship may include some of the following:

Assisting with in-house events.
Delivering short gallery and workshop tours.
Assisting in the development of school resources.
Assisting in the development of interpretative info.
Research relating to exhibitions and interpretation of Archive.
Assisting in the development and practical aspects of schools, family and community workshops.
Ordering materials, setting up equipment, liaising with artists and supporting administration.
Assisting with evaluations and reports.

Marketing Intern

This placement is ideal for recent arts/marketing graduates or for those with relevant experience. Working with key staff members you will experience and contribute to marketing and audience development within an arts organisation.

This internship may include some of the following:

Assisting with marketing, including social networking and updating GPS web site.
Maintaining contacts database and mailing lists.
Assisting with preparation and distribute of press releases.
Providing marketing support for new business initiatives.
Market and customer research.
Supporting administration.
