The Learning Zone
The Learning Zone provides a creative space for children, young people and families to engage with our learning programme. Throughout the year, workshops and activities will be scheduled with opportunities to learn about printmaking and get creative in our new education room.
Groups will be able to visit the Archive Room, look at plates, prints and drawings from the Archive, visit exhibitions in our galleries, discuss the artworks and in response to their visits try out printing techniques for themselves!

Paolozzi Robo Creations – Print & Build
Come along and be inspired by our Eduardo Paolozzi exhibition. Working together, the group will build Paolozzi inspired figures by combining printmaking and construction techniques to create giant cardboard figures.
The sculptures will remain on show in Trongate 103,throughout the duration of the exhibition. (Eduardo Paolozzi exhibition runs 13th August - 26th September 2010)
Please collect and bring along any old keys, small wheels or toy cars, old chains, springs, zips, castors or plugs which could be used for the workshop.

The Summer Art Rammy is back! Glasgow Print Studio is one of six organisations from T103, working together to offer a packed programme of activities this summer for kids between the ages of 5-16yrs.

Paper Puppets
Fun packed workshop at Glasgow Print Studio & Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre
Visit Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre for a specially designed performance. Learn how the moving sculptures were created and listen to the fascinating stories behind them. Moving onto Glasgow Print Studio construct your very own colourful moving paper puppet and explore printmaking techniques.

Print Trail
Take a line for walk through Sharmanka Kinetic gallery and theatre, Street level Photoworks and Glasgow Print Studio in this one-day workshop.
Incorporate drawings made of Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre into photographs in Street Level Photoworks darkroom and then into colourful screenprints at Glasgow Print Studio. Drawings will be photo-exposed onto screens ready to transform images into colourful screenprinted works of art. Includes a performance at Sharmanka Kinetic gallery and theatre.
Please bring a packed lunch.

The AVANTGARDE Poster Club
Visit GPS, Russian Cultural Centre and GMAC for this fun packed workshop.
Visit GMAC's cinema for a filming from Aelita, followed by a short introduction to Russian AVANTGARDE culture and find out about the AVANTGARDE movement. Move onto Glasgow Print Studio to take a look at posters from their Archive then design and produce your own colourful screenprinted poster!
Lunch will be provided by Russian Gallery Café Cossachok

Mini Books - Make & Print
Visit Glasgow Print Studio's Learning Zone and find out how to make your own mini books. Choose from a selection of book formats and make your book unique by printing designs on the front cover and even on the pages! Collect and bring along your own interesting paper, wrapping paper, magazine cuttings to include in your little book.
