About Glasgow Print Studio
Glasgow Print Studio was founded in 1972 as an artist led initiative providing facilities and workshop space to artists using fine art printmaking. Now, as an internationally acclaimed centre of excellence in fine art printmaking, Glasgow Print Studio promotes contemporary and innovative printmaking through supporting artists, exhibitions, learning and conservation.
Unique to Scotlands cultural landscape and central to the development of Glasgows Merchant City as the cities vibrant cultural quarter, the studios workshop, galleries, education space and other facilities now span three floors of Glasgows centre for art and creativity, Trongate 103.
The open access printmakers workshop is hub of activity, and a range of other activities such as printmaking classes, workshops for kids and creative family sessions stimulate and inspire people of all ages and abilities.
The workshop also provides support to professional artists through its exciting publication programme, collaborative projects and residency programme.
Engaging exhibitions allow visitors to explore and experience the styles and techniques used by local and international artists, there is also opportunity to buy the best in contemporary Scottish printmaking.
Glasgow Print Studio is registered as a charity in Scotland, is foundation funded by the Scottish Arts Council and supported by Glasgow City Council.
