A guided tour of our workshop facilities and gallery is included as well as access to artworks, tools and plates from our archive collection. For Pupils - Primary
What is a Print? (P5-7, maximum 20 pupils)
Cost: £65
These fun and creative workshops inspire young people to explore, discuss and engage with art by using GPS’ fine art collection as a resource. Workshops focus on investigating objects including plates, tools and original prints. Pupils will also learn how to identify different printmaking processes.
Printed Portraits (p4-7, maximum 30 pupils
£150 per 1/2day workshop
Create fun printed portraits using pressprint. This simple technique is ideal for the primary classroom, and working with artists both teachers and pupils will get the best out of this versatile medium.)
For Pupils - Secondary
What is a Print? (S1-S6, maximum 18 pupils
Cost: £65
Informative and creative workshops inspire pupils to explore, discuss and engage with art by using GPS’ fine art collection as a resource. Workshops focus on investigating objects such as printing plates, tools as well as original prints. These workshops encourage critical evaluation of artwork and pupils will also learn how to identify different printmaking processes.
Senior Pupil Portfolio Classes
During these classes pupils have the opportunity to use the professional standard printmaking facilities in GPS’ workshop to develop and produce their own work. Classes in screenprinting, etching and woodblock printing are available. Adapted portfolio classes can also take place in your art department.
Full day portfolio classes cost: £300 per group. Max number of pupils 8
